Courtney Bouillon serves as the Minister to Families. She was born in Alexandria, Louisiana. She moved to Benton in 1990 and graduated from Benton Jr/Sr High School. She started coming to Cypress Youth Group with her sister in 1991 and became very active in the youth group at Cypress and accepted Christ at a See You At The Pole Retreat in 1991, at the age of 12.
Courtney married her high school sweetheart, Brian, at Cypress Baptist Church on April 8, 2000. Because they both grew up at Cypress, there was no question what church they would call their home. They have two daughters, Lainey and Lexy. The girls have shown her how incredible God is through their birth and life. She feels like her greatest honor is being Brian’s wife and Lainey's and Lexy’s mother.
Courtney earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree/Interior Design from Louisiana Tech University in Ruston, La. After working for a few years in her profession, she felt God calling her to start serving at church. She did not know where she was being called to serve, so she started trying different areas of ministry. In 2007 she began working on staff at Cypress in Youth Ministry and continued there until 2010 when she felt God leading her to minister to families. She has been so excited to see God start a new ministry within Cypress Baptist Church. In this ministry her mission is to bring families closer to God and to each other through Bible studies and activities offered at Cypress. She also has her Counseling Certification from Louisiana Baptist University to help families deal with issues that we all face.
Courtney enjoys being with her husband and children. She also loves to be with her mom and step dad, which also attend Cypress. Courtney also enjoys time with her friends and leading a weekly Bible Study for womenat Cypress. It gives her a chance to get to know the women at Cypress and to be fed God’s Word.
Her goal is to help people remember God’s priority list for their lives should be their relationship with:1st God, 2nd spouse, and 3rd children, and all else comes after those three.
