Jesus is coming back.

The early church understood this promise and lived with a different perspective because of it. They knew this world was not their home, they longed for Christ’s return, and they were willing to endure the world’s rejection because their hope was fixed on something greater.

In this message, we look at what the early church understood about the return of Jesus and what that same hope should mean for us today. We may be 2,000 years closer to His return, but are we living with the same anticipation, urgency, and longing?

As we study the end times—from the rapture of the church and the tribulation to Christ’s return and the coming kingdom—we’re reminded that the goal isn’t simply to know what is coming. It’s to live faithfully while we wait.

This world is not our home. So let’s live with one eye on eternity, one eye on the mission God has given us, and our hearts ready for the day we finally stand in the presence of Jesus.
