For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve

Mark 10:45

The church thrives when everyone plays a part, whether it be serving with children during worship, greeting new faces on Sunday morning or pitching in on community projects.  We exist to love God first, and others second! Please consider the ways you can give of yourself to this end goal, and help make the church thrive!

Areas to Serve

Children's Ministry

Children's Sunday School Teacher:
Be on the front lines of preparing the next generation to reach the world for Jesus. Each week at 9:15am, your students will gather in your classroom ready and eager to play and learn! You will use our LifeWay curriculum that is easy to use and Biblically sound. Training on the curriculum, classroom management, and more are offered at team meetings. Background check required.
Preschool Sunday School Teacher:
Sunday School Preschool teachers are needed each week at 9:15 or 10:45. You will be working with another teacher and will have volunteers assisting you to help with the children. Background check required.
Children's and Preschool Check-In:
Check-In Greeters help guests check in and take them to their classrooms. This is a wonderful opportunity to be a friendly, welcoming face to new families. Check-In Greeters serve on a rotation. Background check required.
Kid's Church Leader:
Serving in Kids Church is a once-a-quarter responsibility during the 10:45 service, and there are several benefits: instant hero status, unlimited high fives, and exercise during worship! This is an opportunity to serve your church and help teach kids how to worship. You don’t have to have a child in kids ministry to serve in Kids Church! There is no prep involved, just a love for the Lord and the kids of our church! You will be asked to lead a small group of kids in a 10-15 minute game/review time, and you will be given all the tools you need! Background check required.
Children's Midweek Leader:
Help with our kids programs on Wednesday nights at 6:15pm. We focus on scripture memory and Bible skills with the kids. We would love to have you be a part of these fun, important lessons! Background check required.
Mission Friends Teacher:
Mission Friends teachers plan a lesson each week with activities. They tell the story about the missionary for the month and do an activity with the preschoolers about the work the missionary does. They also teach the children about the country or state where the missionary lives. There is a Leader Guide that gives ideas of what to do each week. This is a great way to teach preschoolers about evangelism and God's love. Background check required.

Student Ministry

High School & Middle School Parent Volunteer:
There are always opportunities for parents to get involved in Cypress Student Ministry. Our biggest volunteer needs come from our biggest events of the year: Winter Retreat, Summit Weekend, and Summer Camp. We have needs for drivers, host homes, food deliveries and more. Background check required.

Other Areas

First Impressions Team:
We love visitors! Join this F-U-N team and greet visitors on Sunday morning with a smiling face!
Midweek Meal Server:
Food servers are needed to help on a rotation with Midweek Meals. Midweek Meals occur each Wednesday night from 5:00-6:00 during the school year.
Worship Team:
The worship team is for those that have a passion for worship, a desire to help lead the church in praise and a specified music or vocal skill. A lifestyle of worship is exemplified as the worship team takes the lead in praise alongside our church family. We are seeking all those who have a heart for worship to join us.
Media Team:
So much goes on behind the scenes to make our worship services happen. If you are interested in learning and using a technical skill to serve in our church, then the media team could be a perfect place for you.
Foster Closet:
Our Foster Closet collects numerous items to help support families in our communities that care for foster children. We need help in sorting, organizing and distributing these items to our foster families.
Power Pack Helpers:
The Power Pack ministry provides food for students that may not have access to enough food over the weekends. We "pack" every 6 weeks after Midweek Worship by filling gallon Ziploc bags with items that are easy for children to fix on their own. Power Packs are distributed on Fridays to students in need at area schools.
